The High Point University women’s lacrosse team had six players named to the All-Big South teams, including Defensive Player of the Year Jasmine Jordan, at the conference’s inaugural women’s lacrosse awards banquet on Thursday in Davidson, N.C. Perry has scored on over 50 percent of her shots. Kuhlman has a 19-7-26 scoring line with 24 draw controls, 21 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

She also has 33 draw controls on the season, one behind team-leader Lila Mastroberti. She was 2011 NLC Player of the Year and is High Point’s all-time scoring leader. Dougherty has an 11-7-18 scoring line out of the midfield and totaled 24 ground balls, 17 assists and 12 caused turnovers while starting all 16 games.
High Point featured a balanced attack this year with seven players notching double-digit goal totals. The Panthers are currently 8-8 overall and went 6-1 in Big South play heading into the conference tournament. The Panthers play Longwood in the semifinals on Friday at 7 p.m. and the winner will advance to the championship game against either Davidson or Liberty on Sunday at 2 p.m. The semifinals and championship game are all at Davidson’s Richardson Stadium.
