  1. Great season for HPCA . Just a game short of the ultimate goal. With returning players and big time players coming in, championship is waiting to happen!! Go Cougars!

  2. HPCA is the best kept secret in the Triad baseball scene. Coach Gesell and his staff just go about their business developing players and mixing in public school transfers with the long term HPCA student athletes into his system! ….. Can’t argue with the results over the past 4 years! Always a top 4 in the State, have won over 50 games in the last two years, etc.

If you are looking for a baseball program that not only develops good players but also teaches discipline and good Christian Values, I would highly recommend HPCA.

Very good returning nucleus fro next year!

  3. Congrats on a good year but leave it at that. Sounds a little like a recruiting pitch.

  4. Just saying, my son has had a great experience over the past couple of years! Ive seen public and private programs and the competition, coaching and teaching at both venues… if you have a great situation in public school, stay there but if you are in the market for a good spot for your child, make your own assessment and realize that there are several options in the area. we looked at several options and have no regrets with our decision to go to HPCA.

  5. My son Boston just completed his Senior year at HPCA and I agree with Cougar Fan. The school has a great academic program and he had a great experience playing baseball for them. The teachers care about their students, we still have the personally written Christmas card from Principle Curlee which mirrored the warmth and compassion that was shown to us from the entire staff. We have received many positive phone calls from the teachers that show their true compassion for the success of their students. We can’t say enough about the baseball coaching staff, they care about the program and promote the game the right way. An example of their dedication was shown midway through the season, Boston had a two game batting slump so he asked Coach Gesell for his help. Coach Gesell took the time to meet him at the field on a Saturday and helped him get his swing back. They also were very instrumental in encouraging him to pursue baseball at the college level and he has been fortunate to have received several offers, one of which he has verbally committed to that will allow him to play Division II baseball and pursue a career in the medical field he was hoping for. We all want the best for our children and like Cougar Fan was trying to say, if you are looking for a good school environment, High Point Christian is a good option.

We would also personally like to thank the coaches at Westchester Christian Academy and Greensboro Day that personally took the time to provide encouragement to Boston during his Senior baseball season. This whole year was inspirational in his development as a person.
