Graham Sporting Goods Numbers from the BIG win by Southeast Guilford Falcons over North Davidson Knights in Round Four of NCHSAA Softball

Southeast Guilford(25-2) got the BIG win over North Davidson(26-3) tonight at SEG and here are the Falcon numbers as they stopped the Black Knights….SEG was down 4-1 and they cut the lead to just 4-2 and then they rallied strong in the bottom of the 6th inning to tie the game at 4-4 and then SEG pushed across two more urns to grab the 6-4 and they went pn to win the game 6-4 as Deleste Sheppard and the Falcons got North Davidson, three-up/three-down in the top of the 7th inning and now SEG will move on play for the NCHSAA West Title beginning on Friday….

Those numbers for SEG are impressive and those numbers are:
Kara Shutt:3-4/Double/2 Runs scored and she got involved in a run-down play on defense coming in from center field to do so…Had not seen that before and impressive and the Elon coaches in attendance liked it too…
Anna Hessenthaler:3-4/Double/2 RBI/Run…
Emma Strouth:2-4/Run/RBI….
Briana Webb:2-4/Run
Celeste Sheppard:2-4/Double/On her E-5 play with two outs in the bottom of the 6th, two runs came in to score with two outs and those proved to be the game-winners….Sheppard’s pinch-runner scored 1 run and Sheppard threw/pitched an outstanding game, especially after seeing her team fall behind 4-1, she battled through and after SEG moved in front, Sheppard got ND, 1-2-3 in the top of the 7th, when the Black Knights were trying to answer the Falcon comeback….
Logan Royal:2-4….

*****Falcons win it 6-4, in front of one of the largest crowds that you will ever see at a softball game…..Must have over 1,000 fans there tonight…..Students, Faculty, Parents, Friends, Sports Fans, NEWS 2 Sports(Brian Formica), FOX 8 Sports(Danny Harnden) at least two other TV stations, maybe TWC 14 and WXII 12 and Lexington Dispatch newspaper, News and Record and many more outlets….*****

+++++We loads of people at that game including Scott Flagler, Mr. Fuquay, Mr, Venable, Coach Bill Slayton, Coach Kevin Callahan, Coach Fritz Hessenthaler, ‘Big Red’ Ethan Albright, and on and on you can go with all those fans that turned out tonight for the game at Southeast Guilford….++++++

  1. Let me know if we need to change any numbers…If we need to we will adjust….Maybe a question on the E-5 play, but most of the hits should be correct…

    One heck of a game down there at Southeast Guilford tonight….
