Southeast Junior Legion falls 12-2 to Winston-Salem

Southeast Guilford lost to Winston Salem 12 – 2 last night and moves on tonight to face Randolph County at Asheboro’s McCrary Park tonight at 6:30. “Austin Coble kept the game close and it was winnable for a while but errors and lack of timely hits hurt. We are using the first part of the season to develop our younger players. Winston has a great group of veteran players and our rising ninth grade kids are being exposed to high school baseball for the first time. They will be better for it.” said Coach Dave Beasley. “As varsity coaches our staff is observing from the stands due to NCHSAA rules. Shannon Smith and Chris Alley are doing a great job with our young players and these kids will learn and develop. . You can learn from a loss as well as a win.” stated Beasley.

Southeast travels to Asheboro tonight to face Randolph County and returns to Southeast Friday night to host Davidson County. Plenty of baseball yet to be played for the Falcons.
