151 SPORTS MARKETING ANNOUNCES TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN UNION COUNTY HARDWOOD SHOWCASE
Southlake, Texas- 151 Sports Marketing, a company specializing in the promotion and orchestration of quality amateur sporting events, is proud to announce the high school Varsity Boys Basketball teams that will be participating in the first annual Union County Hardwood Showcase on December 20 – 21, 2013. Monroe High School Gymnasium will be the site of this premiere holiday basketball event. A field of ten squads will combine to play eight games on the Friday and Saturday prior to Christmas. Participating teams include:

Ty Bumgardner, Head Coach for the current State Champs from Olympic, had these observations on the new event and field. “Just being able to be part of this event is great and we’re excited to be invited to the inaugural Union County Hardwood Showcase. Obviously, with Union County being neighbors to Charlotte, it makes this even more exciting for the surrounding communities to come and see some great high school basketball. As far as the competition, this field is very strong. Mount Tabor’s program is always among the most successful in the state and Independence could be the best team in Charlotte. Butler and Concord plus all the teams from Union County are very good as well. This Showcase will be a lot of fun for all the basketball fans from these fine schools.”
Friday, December 20th, will feature three games beginning at 6 PM and will be followed five games on Saturday the 21st beginning at 2 PM. Some teams will be playing both days and some only once. Match-ups and game times will be released at a press announcement scheduled in the next several months.
Mark Stafford, a 151 Sports Marketing representative, had these comments on the impressive field. “Words can’t explain how elated I am to have such a talented field of basketball programs involved in the Union County Hardwood Showcase. I challenged Chris Hughes of Carolina Preps to go out and put together something we could all be proud of and he created something very special. We have the reigning State Champions from Olympic and several teams who were knocking on the door of winning it all. Basketball fans from around the region are in for a treat as the matchups will be a must see. Stay tuned for those.”
