Hard work in the classroom pays off:Adam Foster(Western Guilford) receives scholarship to UNC Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –Adam Foster, of Western Guilford High School, has been named a Crown Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and has been awarded the D.W. Colvard Scholarship.

Adam is the son of Craig and Diana Foster, and is from Greensboro, N.C.

The D.W. Colvard Scholarship is valued at a total of $71,200 over four years, which includes a new laptop computer and a $5,000 stipend for a full semester of education abroad.

The D.W. Colvard Scholarship is designed to attract students with great potential to UNC
Charlotte who have achieved academic excellence and served as leaders in their school and community.
