Northwest Guilford hires new womens head soccer coach

Northwest Guilford has hired Jason Thomas to head the womens soccer program. Jason Thomas replaces Jason Allred who recently resigned the womens head coaching position to spend more time with his young family. Coach Allred will continue to serve as the head varsity mens coach at Northwest.

Jason Thomas comes to Northwest High from Northeast Guilford High School where he was a highly successful teacher and soccer coach for both the mens and womens teams at Northeast. Jason will be teaching in the science department at Northwest this coming school year after beginning his teaching career at Northeast in 2007.

This past year was Jason’s first as womens team head coach and he led the Northeast womens team to the Mid Piedmont 3A conference championship and earned conference coach of the year honors. He has served as an assistant coach for both the womens and mens teams at Northeast since 2010.
