More coming in the morning from Bill Hass, with Bill on Baseball, but it was:

Greensboro Grasshoppers 6
Greenville 5
….Wednesday afternoon at NewBridge Bank Park
WP:Deja Oliver(3-3)
LP:Dahlstrand(3-5)
HR’s:(GSO) Viosergy Rosa #21, a solo shot….Jose Behar(2), a solo shot..
(GRN)Martinez…Tavares

Hoppers up 6-0 through 7 innings and starting pitcher Deja Oliver faced just 21 batters and had one-hitter going through 7 innings…Shutout ball till the 8th, when the Drive posted one on the HR by Martinez and then in the top of the ninth, Oliver gave up back-to-back-to-back singles and he was relieved by Blake Logan and Logan gave up a three-run HR….

Outstanding job by Oliver today and along with Rosa and Behar, Juancito Martinez came up with a clutch hit for the Grasshoppers….The game was hanging in the balance and Martinez tipped the scales, with a three-run double down the left side and at that stage of the game, the Hoppers had built a 5-0 lead….

It was the ‘Steak n Shake Escape’, as the Hoppers held on to win 6-5, after that top of nine decline, by the Greensboro pitching staff….

Hoppers do win to go (18-20) and the Drive falls to (20-17), plus the Hoppers avoid the sweep at the hands of The Drive, and take the last game of the three-game series on Wednesday afternoon, at NewBridge Bank Park…..

Hoppers 6-9-0
Drive 5-7-2
