Emma Strouth(Southeast Guilford HS) commits to Virginia Tech

The Southeast Guilford Lady Falcon Varsity softball team would like to announce that 2015 Catcher/OF – Emma Strouth
has verbally committed to play softball for Coach Scot Thomas at Virginia Tech. Emma has been the starting catcher for
the Lady Falcons for the past two years. In 2013 she helped them advance to the West championship series in the state playoffs.

She has been All-Conference, All-District and All-State for two years. Emma plays showcase softball for the NC Lady Lightning
organization. Lady Falcon Head Coach Shannon Cowart says “ Emma is a very hard worker and extremely talented. She has
made a huge impact on our program and will do very well at Virginia Tech.” Congratulations to Emma Strouth.

  1. Congratulations Emma! Va. Tech is getting a good one. Southeast softball has two D1 commits now with Emma and Kara Shutt – 2014 (Committed to Elon). We could see more very soon with Anna Hessenthaler, Logan Royal and Cheri Doty.
