Northwest Hires New Outdoor Track Head Coaches

Northwest High School would like to announce the hiring of two new head track coaches.

Nicole Wobler is the new head women’s track coach. Nicole is currently a social studies teacher at Northwest High School and was an assistant coach last season. She ran track and cross country in high school at Antwerp High School in Ohio and graduated from UNCG.

Phil Kahler is the new head men’s track coach. Phil currently teaches social studies at Kernodle Middle School and has been an assistant track coach at Northwest since 2008. He is a USA Track and Field certified official and coach and has coached track and field programs in Michigan and Nevada since 1993 before arriving at Northwest in 2008. Phil is a graduate of Emory Riddle and Eastern Michigan University.

Assistant Coaches remaining on the track coaching staff will be Duane Robinson and Kela Hunt.
