Cowboys roll over Western
Rick Mack started the game off early with a touchdown setting the tempo for the Southwest Guilford Offense.
Western Guilford returned the kickoff after the early SW touchdown. However, it did not slow the cowboys offense.
Rick Mack and Jeremiah Brown would both have TD catches in quick succession bringing SWG to a 21-7 lead.
Rick continued rolling in the second quarter adding another touchdown bringing his total to 3.
SWG was up 35-14 at the half but this game was far from being over.
Western scored midway through the 3rd quarter to narrow the lead to 14 points.
Rick Mack answered with 2 more touchdowns bringing the score to 49-28
However, Western made a resurgent comeback and scored 2 quick touchdowns after a SWG fumble and a crucial 4th and goal passing touchdown for Western the score was 49-42 with 3:35 seconds remaining.
Southwest had a fast 3 and out and Western had the ball again.
On third down with 1:15 to play western through a deep ball that was intercepted by Orlando Smith.
Southwest took a knee and the game was over….
Rick Mack ends the game with 5 touchdowns and Jeremiah Brown also added 2 more.
SWG improves to 2-2 and will host Southern Alamance next week. The “Cowboy Crazies” are gearing up for what they hope to be another big offensive display.
Causey is a good coach and a great person. He just doesn’t have much to work with these days at Western.
