The 9th Class of the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame will be inducted on Monday, September 16th at the Greensboro Coliseum. There is a social from 5:30-6:15 with the dinner portion starting at 6:30 and hopefully inductions beginning at 7:20…..

Who is going in courtesy of Demp Bradford, with the Greensboro Sports Commission…….

Ted Brown- former NFL and Andrews High School football player

Wilt Browning- retired sports writer for the News and Record

Gayle Currie- former coach and Athletic Director at Guilford College

Woody Durham- retired Voice of the Tar Heels and Sports Anchor at WFMY

Ken Free- former Commissioner of the MEAC and also former professional baseball player

Wade Garrett- fast pitch softball great

Bill Harvey- outstanding golfer- played in 23 Wyndham Championships

Tom Martin- Civic Sports Leader who was responsible for bringing NCAA Women’s Soccer Final Four to UNCG and served as chair of the Wyndham and Spotrs Council

Jane Preyer- Tennis great who played at Wimbleton, UNC and coached at Duke

Jim Winstead- Retired Tennis professional at Greensboro Country Club
