College Volleyball Final – Southern Virginia 3, Guilford 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Setter Katelyn Tlustek served up seven aces and set up 29 assists to lead visiting Southern Virginia University to a 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 win at Guilford College Friday night.

The Knights (4-4) had 12 aces on the night and hit .214 as a team. Kaitlyn Eaton paced Southern Virginia with eight kills on .471 hitting. McKenzie Weaver and Tori Tuttle both chipped in with seven kills. Libero April Bennett cleaned up the back row with a match-best 18 digs and added two aces.

Senior Brittany Freeman led Guilford with eight kills and also added seven digs. Malikah French had five putaways and Taylor Whitley notched 16 assists for the Quakers (5-8). Meredith Foscue led the team with 12 digs and Whitley added five pickups.

Guilford visits Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Washington and Lee University Wednesday (9/25) at 7:00 p.m.
