Southwest Guilford Report with Brian Miller:Rick Mack still on the attack, but Cowboys can’t crack SA Patriots

Southwest falls to Southern Alamance

Johnathan Lloyd opened up the scoring for SA with a rushing TD to put the Patriots up 7-0….

Southern Alamance would be all over SW until late in the first half, with the score at 20-0 with 2:30 remaining in the first half the Cowboys forced a fumble deep in the Patriots territory. The Rick Mack touchdown train began to chug again as he scored his first touchdown of the night bringing the score to 20-7…

After the kickoff Lloyd was picked deep in his zone by Orlando Smith giving the Cowboys a big opportunity. The Cowboys failed to score as the half was closing and the score remained 20-7.

SWG fumbled early in the Second half leading to another Patriots TD…

However, Rick Mack was not finished and would score another big touchdown for the cowboys and bring the score to 26-14….

The Patriots answered with another touchdown of their own followed by another Rick Mack touchdown for 59 yards to answer and bring the score to 34-21.

The Patriots scored once more late in the third quarter and brought the score to 42-21…

With 44 seconds remaining in the third quarter SW Guilford was intercepted in the end zone. It was a key stop for the Patriots defense.

Again, Rick Mack was still not finished by punching in his fourth touchdown of the night and narrowing the score to 42-28

Late in the fourth Southern Alamance scored again and the game would finish 48-28 and another Patriots victory….

Rick Mack looking stellar so far this season and has 9 touchdowns in his last 2 games. Key turnovers haunted the Cowboys in this game and their record falls to 2-3. The Cowboys will travel to play at Southeast Guilford next week.
