Elon vs. Coastal Carolina, Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1:30 p.m., Rhodes Stadium (Family Weekend)

• Against Appalachian State on Saturday, Elon ran for 193 yards – the most against a Division I opponent since Nov. 7, 2009, when the maroon and gold rushed for 237 yards in a 42-17 win at Western Carolina. Leading the way on the ground were B.J. Bennett (86 yards) and Karl Bostick (62 yards).
• The Phoenix lost just four yards on its 39 rushing attempts on Saturday and none until less than five minutes remained in the third quarter.
• Elon will play its third of six home games of the year this Saturday as top-15 foe Coastal Carolina visits Rhodes Stadium on Family Weekend.
• The Phoenix and Chanticleers have faced off just twice before. Both teams have one win, each picking up the victory on the road.

Men’s Soccer (5-1-1)
Elon vs. Radford, Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., Rudd Field
Elon at High Point, Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m., High Point, N.C.

• Elon closes out its four-match home stand on Wednesday, Sept. 25, versus Radford before hitting the road on Saturday, Sept. 28, to face High Point.
• Elon defeated No. 9 Wake Forest, 1-0, at home on Tuesday, Sept. 17. It was the Phoenix’s second straight win at home over the Demon Deacons and third straight overall against the Atlantic Coast Conference foe.
• The Phoenix entered the national rankings for the first time this season on Tuesday, earning a spot at No. 23 in the College Soccer News poll and was 24th in the NSCAA/Continental Tire poll.
• Elon’s Daniel Lovitz scored the lone goal in the contest against Wake Forest in the 46th minute, his second game-winner of the year. Elon keeper Nathan Dean earned his 12th career clean sheet versus the Demon Deacons after making six saves in the match and had a career-high nine stops in the Phoenix’s game against William & Mary on Friday, Sept. 20.

Men’s Tennis
Davidson Shootout, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 28-29, Davidson, N.C.

• The Elon men’s tennis team returns to action this weekend in Davidson, N.C., for the Davidson Shootout.
• Last week at the UVA Ranked+1 Invitational, Cameron Silverman won the Blue Singles draw. Silverman, ranked 34th nationally in singles, is 8-0 this fall.

Volleyball (8-7)
Elon at Georgia Southern, Friday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m., Statesboro, Ga.
Elon at The Citadel, Saturday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m., Charleston, S.C.

• Elon went 4-0 last week picking up a win over Radford before claiming the 49er Invitational title after victories over Tennessee State, South Carolina State and Charlotte.
• Kris Harris led the Phoenix on offense and defense with impressive numbers in all four matches. The junior hit .427 on the week after 51 kills off 96 attempts and only 10 errors, while also recording 24 total blocks to average 1.5 blocks per set. The Apex, N.C., native matched her career-high 17 kills against Radford and her career-high eight blocks against TSU.
• Harris was named the 49er Invitational MVP along with senior Cali Estes and sophomore Megan Gravley who were also named to the all-tournament team.
• The Phoenix will begin Southern Conference play this weekend with matches at Georgia Southern and The Citadel.

Women’s Soccer (5-1-2)
Elon vs. Western Carolina, Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., Rudd Field
Elon at Appalachian State, Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m., Boone, N.C.

• Elon opens Southern Conference play this week with matches against Western Carolina and Appalachian State.
• The Phoenix went 1-0-1 last week, posting a win over Liberty on Friday night and a draw against VCU on Sunday afternoon.
• Elon remains unbeaten at home this season and is outscoring opponents by an 11-1 margin.

Women’s Tennis
Wake Forest Invitational, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 27-29, Winston-Salem, N.C.

• The Elon women’s tennis team returns to action this weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Wake Forest Invitational.
• Elon won three titles at the Elon Fall Invitational on Sept. 15.
