MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The High Point University women’s golf team won the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, S.C. to start the season with back-to-back wins. Freshman Sarah Bae won her second straight collegiate tournament with a score of 140.

“We are obviously happy to win the tournament and to have won two tournaments in a row,” said head coach Vici Pate Flesher. “More importantly we are very happy with the scores we are posting. Our goal will be to keep our scores in this area for the remainder of the season and see where that puts us. Sarah is off to a fantastic start. I can’t think of anyone else who won their first two tournaments as a freshman. She has set a great example for the team.”
