Wes Chesson(Duke), Ken Willard(UNC), Dave Buckey(N.C. State), Don Buckey(N.C. State), Jay Venuto(Wake Forest), Boomer Esiason(Maryland), Terry Kinard(Clemson), Tom Scott(Virginia), Floyd Little(Syracuse) and Johnny Majors(Pittsburgh) will drinking Dr Pepper for several days leading up to the ‘Big Event’…..

Led by four members of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame and two members of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s prestigious 50th Anniversary team, the ACC announced the 2013 Class of Legends for its ninth annual Dr Pepper Football Championship Game Dec. 7 in Charlotte.

Wes Chesson(Duke)….Big-time receiver for Duke and his grandson Thad played high school ball here in Greensboro at Western Guilford….
Ken Willard(North Carolina)….Big-time fullback that made it all the way to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL…Had info on Ken here at the web site a few years back and heard from his family up in Virginia…Virginia Beach, I think it was….
Dave Buckey(N.C. State)….Part of the Buckey Twins at N.C. State and they came in from up in Pennsylvania and were part of the outstanding Lou Holtz-coached teams in Raleigh….Unreal tandem, Dave and Don Buckey….
Don Buckey(N.C. State)….Wide receiver for N.C. State and he was huge with verticle yards up the field for the Wolfpack, coming from the passes thrown by his brother Dave…
Jay Venuto(Wake Forest)….Super passing QB for Wake and I think he was in there during a key part of the John Mackovic era and his dad was a football player and a good one at that for the Guilford College Quakers…..

The Legends will be honored at the ACC Night of Legends sponsored by the Belk Bowl on Dec. 6 then again Dec. 7 during ceremonies at Bank of America Stadium for the championship game. The game will be televised with either a 7:45 p.m. (ESPN) or 8 p.m. (WXLV-45) kickoff.
