Greensboro College Volleyball Joins Hands With NFCR for “Play4theCure”

Greensboro, N.C.– The Greensboro College Volleyball team have joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure, in which sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.

Greensboro College will be raising funds during their games versus William Peace University October 16, 2013 beginning at 7 p.m. at Greensboro College Hanes Gymnasium.

The team will be selling t-shirts, offering door raffles, serving for prizes, and giving away wristbands and volleyballs. They will also be offering health tips on checking for early signs of breast cancer. During the game, there will be a special dedication to survivors. They will also be offering a moment of silence in honor of those in the community who have lost their lives because of cancer.

Players on the Greensboro College Volleyball team will be wearing pink hair ribbons in support of the cause.

There will be no charge for admission to the game, however spectators will be asked to make a donation toward breast cancer research. All proceeds will be donated to NFCR.
