Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for Bailey Kargo(Page HS):We need to be pulling for her as she works her way back!

Page girls basketball guard Bailey Kargo tore her ACL and she will have to undergo surgery on Friday. This is the sort of thing that can blow you away and leave you devastated and she sure could use all of us pulling for her, with the hope that this will lift her spirits up and that she will be recovered and playing basketball again for the Pirates, as soon as possible….Don’t know about any timetables, but I hope she still gets a chance to suit up this season….

Had a great freshman year for the Page Pirates and she could nail that corner three-pointer and ran the court extremely well for a freshman….While away she will be missed and we all wish her a very speedy recovery…..

*****Had an outstanding game in the NCHSAA 4-A West Regional Final last year against Porter Ridge was it??? And that one was at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center, while the ACC Women’s Tournament was going on.*****

  1. That’s unfortunate. Hate to hear that about any young athlete from JV to Varsity at any school. Hopefully she comes back on a time table that let’s her fully recover and be strong going into the future.

  2. Andy,
I sometimes wonder about you. Based on a best case scenario, she will not be playing next year. 6-9 months and then questionable. I tell my patients that they should counting on being down 9 months on a best case scenario.

  3. Optimistic for a return in late February or early March…Might see a limited playoff role and I’m sure it all depends on how all of the rehab goes….

Has anyone seen Doctor James Andrews phone number? I tried to call RG3 but got no answer….

  4. I have been watching Bailey play on the AAU circuit since she was 9yrs old. Outstanding player and hate to see this happen to her. I will keep her and her family in prayer and pray for a successful surgery/recovery.

  5. So sorry to hear about this setback. I’m sure Bailey will work hard and I think she knows a reall good PT. Wishes for a speedy reovery.

  6. Who did Bailey play AAU basketball for? When did this happen? I thought she played for Phoenix Express which played at the sportsplex last week but I don’t remember any players getting hurt during last weeks tournament.

  7. Bailey has never played for Phoenix Xpress. She was originally with the Gaters, then switched to Winston-Salem Stealers a few years ago

  8. We are praying for you Bailey that your surgery goes well and you come back stronger and faster than you were.

  9. Brian, I, and the whole Steelers love you and wish you a speedy and successful recovery.
