HALFTIME HONORING COACH JOE ROBINSON AND NAMING OF THE FOOTBALL FIELD, ‘JOE ROBINSON FIELD’.

Coach/Mr. Robinson was a long-time teacher/football coach for the Guilford High School Hornets and then the first-ever football coach of the Western Guilford Hornets…He also taught U.S History, other forms of history and Driver’s Education for over 30 years at the schools, in the Guilford College community…..Strong force having coached guys like Brent Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Bobby Wood, Jim Tom Jenkins, David Kittrell, Claiborne Barefoot, Chuck Mobley, Ronnie Mobley, Phillip Pressley, Lorenzo Meachum, Robert Webster, Richard Barefoot, Buddy Hoffman, here’s a good one for you Skipper Holton, Keith Guenther and many more….

They will honor Coach Joe Robinson tonight at halftime of the Western Guilford-Southern Guilford game….Southern Guilford/Sumner was the Hornets chief rival back in the day and in the time of legendary Sumner/Southern Guilford Indians coach C.K. Siler…..
