40-20 Hinds CC over the Southwest Community College Bears and James Summers, from Page High School had another big night on the ground….Three TD’s for the former Pirate QB….

James Summers (Greensboro, N.C.) moved the Hinds lead to 17-0 on the third Hinds possession when he scrambled in from 17 yards out for the score, the first of three rushing touchdowns on the evening for the freshman quarterback.

Summers would cap off an eventful opening period with a six-yard touchdown run with 1:27 left to push the lead to 24-7 after the Houston PAT went through the uprights.

Summers added his final TD of the night (and ninth of the season) with 10:33 in the third when he matched Foster’s one-yard run with one of his own. This time the Houston point after was good and the Eagles now led, 37-7.
