College Volleyball Final – Roanoke 3, Guilford 1

Salem, Va. – Samantha Klostermann had 12 kills and 15 digs in Roanoke College’s 3-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) volleyball win over visiting Guilford College Wednesday. Sarah Long added 11 kills on .562 hitting, plus four blocks as the Maroons (15-6, 5-1 ODAC) won their fifth straight match. The 25-15, 25-27, 25-17, 25-8 loss snapped Guilford’s (10-11, 4-4 ODAC) season-high four-game winning streak.

Guilford’s Brittany Freeman led all students with 15 kills and added 13 digs for the Quakers. Malikah French was held to three kills, but had a match-best four service aces and six blocks. Taylor Whitley had 18 assists and Meredith Foscue added 16 digs for Guilford.

The Quakers visit North Carolina Wesleyan College Friday (10/11).
