LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the second straight contest, the Guilford College men’s soccer team came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 score, this time on the road at Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Lynchburg late Wednesday afternoon.

Tim Clancy scored the game’s only goal at the 5:33 mark, giving the Hornets (5-4-2, 3-1-1 ODAC) a lead they would not relinquish.

Guilford (4-6-1, 2-4) had some chances in the second half but could not tie the contest. Jonathan Sheffield picked up the win for Lynchburg, turning back all four shots he faced. Michael MacVane made eight stops in net for the Quakers.
