Women’s Soccer: Lynchburg 7, Guilford 0

LYNCHBURG, Va. – After claiming their first win of the season in their last outing, the women’s soccer team took to the road and fell to 11th-ranked Lynchburg College, 7-0, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match Wednesday.

The Hornets (12-1, 6-0 ODAC) scored 2:29 into the contest on a score by Dessi Dupuy. Lynchburg added two more goals in the first half and tacked on four more after intermission. Seven different players scored for the Hornets and all six assists came from different players.

Tess Frelick upped her record to 5-0 as she combined with Brooke Thompson on the shutout. Abby Gove turned back 25 shots for the Quakers (1-13, 1-6 ODAC).

Guilford returns to action Saturday when it travels to Shenandoah for a 1:00 pm ODAC tilt.
