Pawlowski, a 6-2, 190-pound quarterback, set Guilford’s completion percentage record by connecting on 26-of-31 (83.9%) passes for 360 yards and six touchdowns, all career highs, in the Quakers’ 56-29 ODAC win over Shenandoah University Saturday. He picked up 41 rushing yards on eight carries and accounted for 401 total offensive yards in three quarters of work. Pawlowski connected with eight different receivers, including classmate Adam Smith (Mocksville, N.C./Davie), who caught Pawlowski’s long scoring pass of the day from 75 yards out.

Through five contests, Pawlowski ranks third in the ODAC in total offensive yards per game (276.0), passing yards per game (230.2) and a 147.6 efficiency rating. His 12 touchdown passes stand second in the conference. Pawlowski has moved into fifth place on Guilford’s career passing yards (3,594 yards) and touchdowns (27) lists.

Coach Chris Rusiewicz’s Quakers (3-2) have won two straight and are off to a 2-0 ODAC start for the first time since 1999. Guilford visits league-rival Bridgewater College Saturday (10/19) at 1:00 p.m.
