College Volleyball Final – Guilford 3, Greensboro 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Brittany Freeman hit .462 and put away 12 kills in Guilford College’s 3-0 volleyball win over visiting Greensboro College Wednesday night. The senior had no errors in 26 attempts for Guilford, who hit a season-high .411 as a team to win the season series with the Pride, 2-1. Guilford (13-14) won its season finale, 25-20, 25-15, 25-18.

Taylor Whitley set up 34 assists and added five digs for the Quakers, who put away 44 kills, a season high for a three-set match. Malikah French chipped in with 10 kills on .318 hitting and three blocks. Kelsey Ruehling contributed seven digs and 12 points on 10 kills and four block assists. Libero Meredith Foscue picked up 13 digs in her college finale. Jessica Patrick hit .500 with seven kills.

Liz Widenhouse paced the Pride (12-17) with a match-high 16 kills on .394 hitting. She also had two service aces and two solo blocks for 20 points on the night. Setter Cortland Phillips added a double-double with 25 assists and 13 digs. She also had a match-best three service aces.
