  1. High Point Central put on a clinic against Glenn tonight the Bison were clicking on all cylinders next up is Southwest and hopefully a conference championship next week.

  2. Featherson only plays a few games a year the whole way through. Don’t get the whole D1 offer thing. He needs to put his heart in like the rest of these kids. Don’t get this one at all

  3. Fan,
    Are you kidding me?
The Whirlies showed a lot of class as did the SE players and coaches. I don’t blame you for being upset about the loss but show some class yourself. The Falcons are good, maybe a little over confident, but you just got beat.

  4. Lorenzo Featherston out for the year with a hernia injury….He is injured and out for the season….Had been playing hurt for a while….

  5. Hate to see a player as talented as Featherston out for the season. He is a beast! All the best for a quick recovery kid.

  6. Teams that lost you got to be able to take it in stride and work on it for next week….

Need to see some class from all of the classes tonight…..

  7. With the win tonight HPC all but took a share of the Piedmont 4A. The real game is between East and NW. The winner of that one next week takes a share of the Championship with HP Central. Should be a great one in Oak Ridge!

  8. Food for thought. If SE Guilford beats Dudley next week they win the head to head and will take the #1 seed out of the Metro. They will both be tied with 1 loss but since they both go into the same playoff classification unlike HPC and NW/East Forsyth SEG could be a 1 and Dudley a 2.

PT4A since NW/East go big 4AA and HPC goes 4A both winners next week will take a #1 out of the PT4A. That is if HPC wins.

  9. Tough loss for the SEG Falcons but they can be in position to tie for the Conference Title with a win over Dudley next week, and that is not an easy task, but it can be done….SEG has to hang in there and start preparing for that Super Tough Dudley ‘D’….Might need to have the Falcon offense practice against 15-16 on defense this week to try and simulate that Dudley ‘D’….They are all over the place and they get to the ball so quickly…..

Congrats to Grimsley on the win, and to Will Edwards, Jake Simpson, Clark Yow and all the others good job and the Whirlies never quit…..

  10. Way to bounce back NW! They were back to playing fast and physical tonight. It’s going to be one hell of a game next week at NW! GO VIKINGS!

  11. As a parent I am extremely proud of Grimsley’s #23 Tristan Pulliam. He has had a great year but tonight he played exceptionally well. Great game for the Whirlies. Great win on senior night.

  12. Hard to win when you turn the ball over 5 times. We were -5 in the TO deptment. Hard to win in the Metro with that. Hats off to Whirlies. Muddy field and they had 0 TO’s.

  13. You have reason to be very proud dad! I commented repeated to my buddy how tough Pulliam is all night and all season. It seemed like he was in on 90% of the tackles tonight.

I guess it is still possible that Grimsley has a chance at the Playoffs if they take care of business at Smith next week.

I think there were several factors that got Grimsley the win last night:
-Outstanding play by Grimsley’s defense to stop the outstanding running game of SEG.
-Grimsley had a passing attack tonight that opened up the run. Malik did a great job at QB!
-SEG should have had the advantage with their strong running game which should have worked well with the wet conditions however they had trouble all night with turnovers. Before someone says it let it be known that the field was wet for both teams and it all comes down to who outlasts the conditions.

I could not be happier for our long suffering Whirlie seniors. Everyone on the team contributed to this win against a quality team and yes when football and basketball season are over…I always look forward to baseball where we will see many of these hard nosed, never give up players again.
