‘The Miller Minutes’ on tonight’s NWG-SWG football game

Vikings run through Cowboys

Northwest opened the game with a 4 minute drive that led to the opening score for the Vikings bringing the game to 7-0 starting a pace that never seemed to slow.

With 22 seconds to go in the 1st Quarter the Vikings struck again with a short rush TD and failed the 2-pt conversion. After the Cowboys fumbled on their own 31 to start the 2nd Quarter the Vikings quickly capitalized scoring a touchdown and successfully completing the 2-pt. conversion.

The Cowboys then turned the ball over again. The Vikings struck once more with another rushing TD bringing the game to 28-0.

Later in the 2nd quarter Rick Mack snagged an interception and returned the ball to the NW 20. Quickly after Rick Mack had an acrobatic catch in the corner of the end zone to get the Cowboys their first points.

The Vikings added another score and 2 point conversion before the half putting the score at 36-7.

Northwest continued to roll Southwest in the 2nd half. The final score would end up NWG 50 SWG 14.

The Cowboys will be facing the High Point Central Bison next week at home in the last game of the season and the last chance to win a conference matchup.
