  1. Too bad the predicted scores don’t factor in who wants the W more, and which team plans to play “all in.” Good luck to all!

  2. No way CC hangs 24 on NG. Blowout city. They won’t score. Boys are fired up. Guarantee NG will blank them.

  3. Cal preps went zero for zero predicting even a half way accurate score of NG’s games during playoffs last year. No confidence in their ability this year. Watch some film guys!

  4. Why isn’t anybody on here talking about HP Andrews? The best team I saw this year, and the team from Guilford County most likely to win a title. I know this isn’t going to be popular but I saw Dudley and Andrews, I;ll take Andrews.

  5. NW: Let me be the first…IF you win this week, I predict you lose next week. For the record, I am pulling for you hard.

  6. Why no love?
Andrews hasn’t had any competition since week 1 when they played Central. Which is probably why they haven’t gotten much coverage on here. The games really aren’t that exciting. And I know, because I am a mother in the stands every Friday night cheering for them. Their biggest test will come this week and the following weeks to come.

  7. SEG Wow we are finally predicted to win?
NWG Richmond has a speed team and are smaller than usual
HPC CC runs wing-T and does not play well against teams with atheletes (Hood’s a beast!!!!)
Dudley (Might be closer than you think)
Northern (Needs to be playing 4A)
HPA (has the best chance in my opinion for at state title)

  8. Trust me the NW game won’t be that close! NW will lose by at least 3 or more scores to the Richmond Raiders. The year NW beat them they were playing JV kids against NW because of all the injuries. They are just on a different level than most of the teams around here including the Vikings.

    Richmond-42
    NW-17

  9. I have casually observed NWG play throughout this season particularly against the teams they were predicted to lose to (NG, HPC, EF, Page and Reidsville) and now Richmond. They stumbled against a hungry and well coached Glenn team. Since then, NWG has played lights out. Unlike NWG teams in the past, this NWG team is running the Wing-T just short of perfection. Richmond is certainly a great team and will bring their very best. However, if NWG runs that Wing-T like they did against HPC, EF and Page by keeping Richmond’s offense off the field, this game will go much differently than what is being projected. Also, the success of NWG this year has just as much to do with their defense. This is evident by the score differentials. The balance between their defense and offense is a nightmare for teams when they control the time of possession. Richmond will certainly be a challenge for this NWG team. However, I for one will not bet against this NWG team.

  10. NW may indeed lose this week. From game results, Richmond appears to have a prolific offense (BTW, so does Central Cabarrus). But, the comments above are very similar to what many were saying before NW played HP Central, East Forsyth and Page. They won all 3 of those, and 2 of them weren’t close. Don’t count NW out.

    Go Vikings!

  11. C’mon NWGHS parent fan –
Just because your team is getting their ego bruised, don’t look to get something started with the Nighthawks.
(BTW, we know who’s defense is more dominant)

    PS – Go Vikings!
PSS – Go all Guilford County Teams!!

  12. What I have been hearing is that Richmond lost their starting QB two weeks ago. He was also one of their best athletes. Also their defense is not as good as past years.

  13. Hawks Fan, not trying to start anything, just making an observation. CC scored approx 550 points in 12 games, and I believe their only loss was to an undefeated team. Looks like both our teams may have their work cut out for them.

  14. @NWGHS PARENT…..Central Cabarrus played 1A/2A non-conference…of those 550 points they scored, 140 were against 1A/2A. Also,CC gives up a ton of points…don’t let the Richmond numbers fool you…they have lost three games to opponents that have a combined record of 32-4…three of those four losses are from Butler….good luck Friday night!!!

  15. Not trying to bash NW just speaking the truth! Richmond is on a different level than the teams NW has seen this year. NW will keep it close early then Richmond pulls away in the 2nd. I think Richmond wins by 2 TD’s

  16. I ATTENDED THE SEG MT. TABOR GAME. I FELT LIKE IT WOULD BE A GREAT MATCH AND IT WAS. A GREAT GAME IF YOU LIKE A LOT OF OFFENCE.
I SUPPORT ALL THE GUILFORD CTY TEAMS SO I SET ON THE VISITOR SIDE OF THE FIELD, AND THE FIRST THING I NOTICE
IS THAT MT. TABOR HAVING A GREAT SEASON, BEING IN THE PLAYOFF’S, AND PLAYING AT HOME DIDN’T HAVE MUCH OF A TURN OUT.
SEG ON THE OTHER HAND HAD A GOOD TURNOUT FOR AN AWAY GAME.
THE ACTIONS DISPLAYED BY THE MT TABOR FOOTBALL TEAM AFTER THE FOOTBALL GAME MAY BE THE REASON FOR THE TURN OUT BEING AS LOW AS IT WAS OR MAYBE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL IS NOT AS BIG A DEAL AS IN GUILFORD.
I ATTENDING A GUILFORD COUNTY GAME ALL BUT OONE FRIDAY NIGHT THIS SEASON AND ALL THE GAMES HAD GREAT TURNOUTS.
SINCE IM NOT FROM THIS AREA IM JUST ASKING A QUESTION NOT TRYING TO BE CRITICAL

  17. @real talk, I can certainly appreciate your perspective on the truth. This was also the perspective when NWG played and beat Scotland and Richmond over the past 4 years….”not a chance”, “NWG will not win”, “These teams are too fast and athletic”, etc. The truth without a proven outcome is wishful thinking. Your 2 TD margin may very well prove to be correct; however, I would not bet against this NWG team.
