  1. Northwest boys over northern guilford. Freshman Jalen Spicer and Nick Powell led the way. Jalen spicer best newcomer in the area. Watch out for this freshman

  2. Local coach Pearce Landry had a lot of good things to say about Jalen Spicer when we saw Pearce(Page/UNC) tonight at Shane’s Rib Shack…

  3. NW 66 NORTHERN 62….Northern pushed NW Guilford through 3 quarters but NW pulled away late on tough D….and too much Nick Powell, J. Spicer, J.Gore and a lot of experienced seniors…. this team will be in the hunt all season long in Piedmont 4A chase….they look like they could win 18-20 games this season…..Marcus Curry with a strong game for Northern.

  4. A big congrats to Aliyah Grinage who scored her 1,000th career point against NWG. She ended with 24pts, 11-12 rebounds

  5. @Joe

Does this NWG team have any players coming in from the football team?

I’m really disappointed Page doesn’t have any games scheduled this year, but I heard it was because NW backed out for some reason. Do you know if you’re playing in the Timco Invitational this year? If y’all really are as good as you say then we’ll probably meet in the championship because I heard GDS has slid.

  6. Is NW that strong this year? I know scrimmage games don’t mean much, but Bishop McGuinness beat NWG by about 20 a week or two ago. I know McGuinness has the big Gardner kid from GDS and Wilson and Weathers from Wesleyan, but still…did not think NWG would be that strong. NWG may have been missing kids. Hope NWG is good. Would like to see them do well again this year. Love it when they beat NG in anything.
