The Women’s Basketball Team at Guilford Technical Community College defeated Tidewater Community College by a score of 104 – 57. The game was the Virginia-Carolina’s Conference opener for both teams. The Titans, ranked #25 in the NJCAA D2 Poll led 59 – 29 at the half and cruised to the 47 point victory.
Four local kids had big days for the Titans. Carnique Marks (Western Guilford HS) had a huge game with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Shannon Buchanan (SW Guilford HS) had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Bria Byrd (HP Andrews HS) had 10 points and 5 assists and Desiree Drayton (Dudley HS) had 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the Titans. The Titans are off now for Thanksgiving Break and return to action on December 3rd when the travel to Montreat College.
