  1. Girls:
    NG 64 SEG 63

What a great game! NG overcame and 4th qtr deficit to tie the game up to send it into overtime. SEG had a 63-59 advantage with 20 seconds left in the game. SEG allowed NG to score an uncontested 2ptr to make it 63-61 with about 3 seconds left. NG immediately fouled and SEG missed both free throws. NG gained possession and attempted a 3ptr with .2 seconds left. SEG’s Kara Shutt fouled NG’s Aliyah Grinage on the attempted 3pt shot. Aliyah sank all 3 freethrows to give NG the 1pt win.

  2. Kara never touched Aliyah, take a look at the video. SEG missed a put back that should have won it in regulation with time expiring. Refs were terrible, our two big girls fouled out and that has never happened. NG gets the win, but we know who the better team is. Too bad we don’t play them again.

  3. Missed put back for win in regulation and missed two free throws to seal the victory in overtime. Sounds like we need to practice those free throws a little more and quit crying about the officiating.

Oh yeah – the better team wins the game!

  4. The officiating would never be questioned if Kara didnt try to block the shot from behind. It wasnt the officiating. Lesson learned from this game, when you are up with less than 2 seconds left in the game, dont foul or look like you fouled. Simple fix.

  5. Good thing and good thing/game with all of these young ladies playing hard and playing hard and close games early in the year….This will help them both down the road…

Don’t remember these two, SEG-NG, playing each other all that often and it is good to see…Very good competition and two very sound programs…

  6. @Anita Tissue and Stop Crying- Officials did play a huge roll in that game because NG’S #30 FOULED OUT -she came out of the game AND was in the process of taking off her jersey…and the OFFICIALS changed the foul to #42 – Kara was running beside of her and did not even touch her..I have the game on my camera…That’s the TRUTH…not crying or whining…stating facts! Hitting or missing free throws wasn’t reason…cheating was the reason you won…still a good game..no hard feelings…We know are the better team…The end of the season stats will show how far you go and how far we will go.

  7. Please lets just let it go. NG won the game and we are moving on. NG took a tough loss last night NWG, it can happen on any day to any team. Good luck to NG with the remainder of their season.
