ACC 4-2 over Big Ten last night in ‘The Challenge’, while Reggie Dillard(GDS) was back in the Coliseum backing Presb. past UNCG

The Atlantic Coast Conference took down the Big Ten in ‘The Challenge’ last night 4-2, and how did we do????

Here are the results:
Duke 79, Michigan 69
Syracuse 69, Indiana 52
Georgia Tech 67, Illinois 64
Pittsburgh 78, Penn State 69

Iowa 98, Notre Dame 93
Minnesota 71, Florida State 61….

Reggie Dillard, of the Greensboro Day School and Dudley High School, was back in the Greensboro Coliseum last night and he was helping to lead his Presbyterian Blue Hose past the hometown UNCG Spartans, 87-66…A good night for the ‘Real Deal’ Reggie Dillard and good to hear he is getting the deal done on the college scene, just like he did back in high school, here in Greensboro…

The word on last night’s game and on Reggie’s game from Jason Gaertner at the News and Record(www.news-record.com):

One member of the Blue Hose who was familiar with the coliseum and the Spartans was Presbyterian’s Reggie Dillard, a Greensboro Day School product who is the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 13.6 points per game.

Dillard chipped in 11 points and eight assists in Tuesday’s victory, and his two first-half three-pointers helped spark Presbyterian’s 19-6 game-opening run, which ultimately proved too much for the Spartans to overcome.

“To come back home and win here is an accomplishment,” Dillard said. “I love coming back here. I have a big supporting cast and I played some games in the Martin Luther King Day Tournament at the coliseum when I was in high school.”

*****And don’t forget the TIMCO Tournaments Reggie(pretty sure he was MVP last year) and I do believe Reggie was in there versus West Charlotte during the NCHSAA West Regionals for Dudley, back when it was Reggie, P.J. Hairston, Sam Hunt and the Panthers taking on J.T. Terrell and the other kids out of Charlotte(Kennedy Meeks from West Charlotte too?)…I think that game was on a Tuesday night and Charlotte stole one from the Panthers…*****

+++++On second thought, maybe Reggie was being selectively distinct, with the TIMCO and the NCHSAA being in the Special Events Center and the MLK Games being in the main building and on the main coliseum floor….Reggie was breaking it all way on down and going deeper than we were, must be that new-found college education….Main building vs. Special Events Center and Dillard is going deep…..It’s all still at the Coliseum, but the ‘Real Deal’ knows the ‘real deal’, I guess….+++++

Reggie from the Blue Hose roster:
#14 Reggie Dillard G 6-4 220 FR Greensboro, NC

  1. Wow, another good player UNCG let out of the area. Those players seem to come back to beat my Spartans. Great job Reggie! Got to keep the players in the Boro…
