Greensboro College Pride Women’s Basketball Move to 3-0 With 93-25 Victory

GREENSBORO, NC — The Greensboro College Pride women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 on the young season with a 93-25 home victory on Wednesday night against Mid Atlantic Christian.

In the first half of play, The Pride jumped out to a big 26-0 lead and would not look back. During the opening run, seven players found the book led by Alexis Hite and Kamia Strickland with four points each. The Pride continued to extend their lead, going into the half with a large 41 point lead at 54-13.

The second half of play featured much of the same with Greensboro continuing to put points on the board and winning the game by a final score of 93-25.

The Pride had four players score in double figures led by Brandy Rush with a game high 13 points. Amber Hair notched her first double double adding 12 points to go along with her game high 13 rebounds. The Pride out rebounded the Mustangs in the game 63-32. Out of Greensboro’s 63 rebounds, 32 of them came on the offensive end of the floor resulting in 20 second chance points. The Pride had a good effort on the defensive end of the floor as well forcing 40 Mustang turnovers resulting in 63 points with 38 of them coming on breakaways.

The Pride women’s basketball team will return to Hanes Gymnasium and Mayo C. Harlow Memorial Court on Saturday afternoon against the Builders of Apprentice School. Game time for the game is set for a 2:00 pm tip.
