Stevenson earned his second straight First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honor this past fall. The junior safety led the league with four interceptions and paced the Quakers with a career-high 81 tackles (47 solo), the league’s eighth-best figure. He broke up five passes and also returned punts for Guilford, averaging 8.2 yards per return. Stevenson had a pair of 10-tackle efforts, including a career-high 16 at Catholic University. His 11 takedowns helped the Quakers post their first win at Bridgewater College since 1998. He made a career-high two interceptions in Guilford’s win over Shenandoah University. After three seasons, the team captain ranks seventh in school history with 10 career interceptions and is a three-time All-ODAC honoree.

Hunt, a sophomore, leads NCAA Division III with an ODAC- and Guilford-record 43.1 yards per punt average in 41 attempts. A First Team All-ODAC honoree, put 12 of his kicks inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and forced eight fair catches. Hunt’s leg has helped Guilford rank 13th among NCAA Division III’s net punting leaders (36.07) through games of Dec. 7. He booted a school-record 81-yard kick Sept. 14 at Methodist University, which is tied for the longest in NCAA Division III this season. His 76-yard boot Nov. 16 versus Emory & Henry ranks ninth in the nation. Hunt averaged over 50 yards per punt in three games last fall, including 52.7 yards per kick in the Quakers’ comeback win over Emory & Henry.

Stevenson and Hunt helped coach Chris Rusiewicz’s Quakers post the program’s first winning record (6-4) since 2007. Guilford finished second in the ODAC with a school-record 5-2 mark. The Quakers could return as many as 18 starters in 2014, including Stevenson.
