Ragsdale next plays tomorrow (Wednesday 12/11/13) at home against Western Guilford HS.
Strange game. Ragsdale was up 25 – 8 with 6:13 left in the 2nd quarter. They then finished the half without scoring another field goal…5 foul shots was it as Person outscored them 16 – 5.
The Tigers got up by as many as 13 in the third and ended up with an 8 point advantage at 46 – 38.
The fourth was a game of turnovers and holding the ball. Ragsdale got two baskets in the first two minutes then went to the delay and hit 9 of 14 foul shots in the quarter with only one more fg. Person got as close as 4 with 45 seconds left after back to back 3’s by Marquis Torain, but could get no closer.
Daniel Kanakanui with his 28 points and 11 rebounds had a double-double for the fifth straight game. James Stepp, who had led Ragsdale in scoring in the last 3 games was saddled with fouls picking up his fourth early in the 3rd quarter and missed a lot of the second half scoring 14.
