The Cowboys of Southwest hit the road to face off the Red Raiders of T.W. Andrews. The game was held at High Point University for these city rivals, making for a special night for these two teams.

In their early meeting this season, the Cowboys were victorious, but that was 2 weeks ago. It was an exciting atmosphere as both teams got to experience a college court.

The game opened with a Raiders basket, giving them an early lead. It also turned out to be the hosts’ only lead of the entire game. From there the Cowboys responded with a 3, and then proceeded to push it out to 16-9, but an Andrews 3-pointer just before the buzzer made the tally 16-12 at the close of the first.

The second quarter was back and forth, but the Cowboys maintained the lead just below double figures for the entire frame, and held a 35-38 lead headed into the half.

The second half opened up with a Cowboy blitz. Pressure, steals, and easy looks allowed the Cowboys to plow through the frame 25-8, making it 60-36.

The fourth quarter was more of a formality as the Cowboys cruised to an easy 73-57 victory. Andrews was led by Xavier Davis with 15.

Southwest was led by DJ Chamblee with 20, 8 Reb, 4 Stls, and Kam Langley 12, 2 Reb, 2 Ast, 2 Stl.
