GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford was able to overcome a poor shooting performance versus a very tough Smith team to pull out a 50-49 victory in the opening round of the Timco Invitational. The Vikings got two free throws from Colson Everett with 2.2 seconds left to steal the win from Smith who had controlled the contest for the majority of the game.
–The Vikings were led by Nick Powell with 11 points and Colson Everett who finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Hampton Billips pulled down 8 big rebounds to go with his 7 points.
–A. Simpson led Smith with 13 points and J.J. Watson chipped in with 9 points to aid the Eagles’ attack.
