Taylor Zarzour has left WFNZ Radio

Taylor Zarzour has left his WFNZ radio show called the ‘The Drive’ for a new show on Sirius/XM Radio and his new show will be called ‘The Bleacher Report’….You heard Zarzour on the Triad Sports Network for the past three years, with the show running 3-7pm, on 1320, 1230 and 1200AM radio here in the Triad…

Zarzour’s new show will air nationally from 11am-2pm each day Monday-Friday….’The Drive’ will remain and former co-host Mark James will now fly the ship solo, but you have to think it is just a matter of time before James will be trying to land a national gig too, and he may be well into working on one already, with CBS Sports Radio….

Zarzour was a very good interviewer and had a number of good ones over the years…The one I heard with Herschel Walker one day, comes to mind quickly….

Tom Sorenson of the Charlotte Observer has a lot more on the coming and going of Taylor Zarzour and you can read that when you CLICK HERE….

  1. This show was already on the borderline with me. The host named “James” reminds me of a spoiled kid. This show will tank quick within Taylor. Why can’t the triad develop it’s own radio personalities similar to what the Raleigh and Charlotte markets have been doing for years. We would not have to change the formats and there is no reason they can’t draw the same audience and more with it being local. This market is only a 100-300k less people than the triangle and Charlotte market area’s so we have the listening ears to support quality radio.

  2. I do not and never have appreciated Marc “with a C” James. Hated that tag line too. I agree the show wont make it long with Marc with a C at the helm. You never know though. I just dont dig his style and he does take things too personally when folks disagree.
