Bull City Prep snaps New Garden Friends 3-game winning streak at the Little River Community Complex in Durham, NC

Senior guard Kanayo Obi-Rapu Jr. scored a team-high 27 points and dished out 6 assists, but the effort would not be enough to push the Bears to a 4-game winning-streak.

Coming into this game, the Bears (12-5) were rolling winning 7 out of their last 9 contests.

Bull City’s intensity would be the difference maker opening up the game on a 13-3 run led by junior forward Isaiah Maurice, who led the way for Bull City finishing with 31 points.

After sophomore forward Osi Smart drew a charge, the Bears cut the deficit to 25-19 after Obi-Rapu Jr. found O. Smart for a monster slam.

Bull City then went on a 15-8 run to close out the second quarter to take a commanding 40-27 lead at halftime.

Going into the third, the Bears fought back with a run of their own. Following a coast-to-coast layup by Obi-Rapu Jr., the score was 52-46 with 3:11 remaining in the third quarter.

Senior guard Gloire Biongo hit three trifectas that sent Bull City on a 17-2 run that ultimately put the game away.

Biongo finished with 21 points.

Maurice and Bingo combined to score over 50% of Bull City’s points. There was no answer for the two prospects on this night.

O. Smart accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds. His older brother, senior forward Ikenna Smart had another double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guard Sterling Holland chipped in 10 points, senior guard Kane Ma added 6 points and junior guard Josh
