2014 Dynamo/PDL Schedule and Alignment Announced

Greensboro, NC: Today the 2013 USASA National Amateur Cup Champions, Carolina Dynamo announced their2014 schedule. The Dynamo home schedule features of a minimum seven Saturday home games against opponents from Kentucky,Ohio, South Carolina, and West Virginia. The Dynamo opens their season at home on Saturday, May 10th Vs. the South Carolina United Bantams. Tampa, FL: The PDL released its 2014 alignment and schedule today, with the 448-game regular season getting underway on Saturday, May 3. Among the exciting developments for the PDL in 2014 is the addition of a pair of MLS-affiliated clubs.

A total of eight new teams have joined the PDL for 2014,with the Montreal Impact U23 and San Jose Earthquakes of MLS leading the trend of professional clubs placing teams in the PDL. A pair of USL PRO clubs also have added to their developmental structure for 2014, with the Cincinnati Dutch Lions (Dayton Dutch Lions) and Pittsburgh Riverhounds U23 also making their debuts.

About the Carolina Dynamo:
Based in Greensboro, the Carolina Dynamo is the oldest minor leaguesoccer team in the nation. The Dynamo is entering our 22nd season in2014. The Dynamo is a team of elite college players with professionalaspirations. PDL
The top developmental men’s league in NorthAmerica, the 2014 PDL features 64 teams within four conferences throughout theUnited States and Canada. The PDL season consists of 14 regular season matchesfor each team, seven home and seven away, and provides elite collegiate playersthe opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining theireligibility. In addition to league play, PDL teams compete in the Lamar HuntU.S. Open Cup as well as various exhibitions. The PDL has proven to be animportant stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout theworld.
