The New Garden Friends Bears recorded a big win on their home court Thursday evening when they defeated their visitors from Elite Prep from Clemmons. The Bears employed an active zone defense and controlled the boards as Ikenna Smart recorded his 12th double double of the season scoring 10 and pulling down 17 rebounds as the Bears improved to 14-6 on the season.

Kanayo Obi-Rapu Jr., who averages 25 points and 8 assists per game, controlled the game scoring 25 points, dishing out 14 assists, playing an excellent floor game.

Sterling Holland was an added offensive bonus for the Bears as he posted 19 points consistently leading the Bears fast break opportunities.
For Elite Prep, whose record dropped to 10-4 , three players shared the scoring load as Uurry had 17, Saaveda had 16, and Phifer tallied 15.
