You can’t make this up. The LA Lakers only suited up 8 players last night.

As the game progressed, 2 players left the game with injuries. Then 2 players fouled out. NBA Rules say you must have 5 players on the court.

Deep in the Rule Book. When faced with less than 5 eligible players, players who have fouled out may return to the court. HOWEVER, when they foul, it is an Automatic Technical Foul.

Lots of stories going on about this. Here’s Fox Sports’ version.
