We had some real eye-openers Friday night with the Southwest Guilford boys maybe grabbing the biggest win

We are always looking back at the Friday night games and that win by Southwest Guilford over East Forsyth was very imressive and the fact that they won by 13, 79-66 is even more impressive…..The Page boys have the top record around here now and I’m pretty sure their overall number is now sitting at (20-1)….To my knowledge that is the best overall record in the area…..

The Southern Alamance girls’ 42-39 victory over Southeast Guilford was very large…..The Metro 4-A girls battle/race is still very tight….
Metro Girls
Southern Alamance(6-2)
Southeast Guilford(5-3)….Dudley at Page this Tuesday night and that ought to make for a very solid doubleheader for the boys and the girls…..Grismsley led Dudley 23-17 at the half in the girls game at the Bob Sawyer Gym tonight and then in the second half, Dudley had a third quarter run and out-scored Grimsley 17-2…..

The Dudley boys go OT to pull out that 84-75 win over the Whirlie boys and John Puryear goes to town with 27 points for Grimsley…..A real fun game with defense the winner at the end….Quick hands and feet win it for Dudley….

Wesleyan gets Greensboro Day School, 53-40 and the Trojans have now won 5 games in a-row and they are making a late-season run again, just like they did last year, when they won the NCISAA 3-A Title….WES is for real, when they want to be and it has been for them having JaQuel Richmond back and to get Donovan Gilmore healthy and Jalen Johnson is now stepping up for the Trojans….

You also have to hand it to the Northeast Guilford Rams…They are really coming on here at the end of the season and they are currently the #1 team in the Mid-State 3-A Conference for the boys…NEG had lost to Northern two times prior to last night’s overtime thriller at NG….Big 68-62 OT game for the Rams and they have are becoming Ram ready at the right time of the season….Todd Withers is having himself a Conference Player of the Year type season and there will be some stiff copetition for Todd from Quayson Williams(Eastern Guilford), Junior Robinson(Eastern Alamamce) and Quan Mims(McMichael)….I think the edge right now is still going to Junior Robinson, but we shall see…..

*****It has been a great week for high school basketball and for the games we have seen it was on Monday, East Forsyth 75, Northwest Guilford 74(boys); Tuesday, North Forsyth 63, Western Guilford 62(boys) and Southern Alamance 51, Dudley 39(girls); Wednesday, Page 62, Southern Alamance 60(girls); and on Friday, Dudley 84, Grimsley 75(boys in OT)…..Talk about some great basketball games….*****

Andy if SWest wins out and NWest beats EForsyth how would the tie breaker between SWest and EFORSYTH be decided?
