The Cowboys hit the road to close out the regular season to square off against the Bison of High Point Central. Thanks to the Sheetz Holiday Classic this was the 3rd matchup of the year with both previous matchups were double digit victories by the Cowboys. With the weather delaying and closing schools since Wednesday both teams would have to adapt to not playing or practicing in nearly a week.

The Cowboys lead from wire-to-wire scoring the first three points and maintaining a three-point lead throughout the entire first quarter ending at 11-8.

The first 2 1/2 minutes of the second-quarter had the teams trading baskets. But by the 3:45 mark Southwest had gotten the lead into double digits and it remained there until we ended at the half at 36-23.

The third-quarter was a draw with back-and-forth action, and Central utilized several Cowboy turnovers to keep the margin at 13 and the third quarter ended at the score 49-36.

The fourth quarter very quickly turned in favor of the Cowboys is the lead balloon to over 20, and Southwest cruised to a 79-56 victory.

The Bison we led by Trevor Gay with 13 points. Southwest was led by DJ Chamblee with 18, 9 Rebs, 4 Asts, KJ Langley with 16, 3 Stls, 2 Asts, and Ben Ferguson with 12, 4 Rebs, and 2 Stls. With the Victory and an East Forsyth loss, the Cowboys earn a share of the Conference Championship for the 4th straight year.
