College Men’s Basketball Final – Guilford 68, Lynchburg 66

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Trever Hyatt’s (Connelly Springs, N.C./East Burke) three-pointer with 11 seconds left gave Guilford a 68-66 comeback win at Lynchburg Wednesday. The Quakers trailed by nine with 8:24 to play.

Hyatt shot six-of-nine from three-point range and led all scorers with 24 points, one shy of his career high. Jake Hopkins (East Forsyth) scored eight of his 14 points in the second half and paced the Quakers with eight rebounds.

Guilford hosts nationally ranked Virginia Wesleyan Saturday at 4 pm in the Quakers’ home- and regular-season finale.
