Looking Back
Elon was scheduled to host Longwood in its first home game in program history on Friday, Feb. 14, but the game was postponed due to the winter storm that hit the area. Prior to last week, Elon women’s lacrosse took the field for the first time last week at No. 6 Duke on Feb. 7. While the Blue Devils took a 25-4 win, the Phoenix saw great signs of future success with all four goals coming from different players. Attack Sloane Kessler score the first goal in program history, tying the game 1-1 just three minutes into the game. Elon finished 7-of-11 in clear attempts and picked up 11 ground balls in the game at Duke.

Looking Ahead
Elon will finally get its chance to play for the home crowd next Saturday, March 1. The Phoenix will host St. Francis (Pa.) in Rhodes Stadium at 1 p.m. The first 200 fans at the game will receive a free commemorative lacrosse stick. Students who attend the game will have the opportunity for early entry passes to the men’s basketball game against Davidson that night.
