The North Carolina rosters for the 2014 Carolinas All Star Basketball Classic have been released.
In its 17th year, the all-star game, which features some of the top seniors from North Carolina against their counterparts in South Carolina, will be held Saturday, Mar. 22, at Socastee High, in Socastee, S.C. The girls game will tip off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys.
The Slam Dunk and 3-Point Contest will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, Mar. 21, at Myrtle Beach High School, in Myrtle Beach, SC.(Jeremy Harris, from Page HS, should be one of the early favorites in the Slam Dunk contest.)

This is obviously just open to public school kids based on the players selected. Unlike the annual football games between NC and SC, this basketball game favors SC each year because NC has a lot more good basketball players that attend private schools than our little sister state to the south SC. I wonder what are the records NC vs SC for both the girls and boys. NC should never lose to SC in anything in sports.
Chalk one up for the kids that decided to stay at home (public). Sacrifices are made when you attend private schools and recognition by your state is one of them. To each his own, both have merit. By the way our squads look good, NC baby!!!
