  1. good hard fought one at Smith-Northwest! Smith was up by 8 at halftime, but Northwest kept making 3’s. On to the next round…Go EAGLES!!!

  2. Bad loss for NW Guilford…memo to coaching staff….basketball on high school or college level has a lot of the same components….You identify what your strengths are, you know who performs in big games(seniors), you know what inexperience could mean, and you adjust to where you are in the game………22-5 record mean very little if you can’t see this……that being said, congradulations to the NW kids on a great year in spite of a very disappointing night…..

  3. @joe

The seniors were in the game. Everett, Powell, billups and Kirkpatrick. He played the rotation he’s been winning with all year. Just ran into a good, hot smith team. If he was playing mostly seniors all year and switched it up id be right there with you my man. But what senior can dribble the ball under pressure on that team. He needs gore, spicer to set the table. Kevin Henry had good energy off the bench. Those seniors you were referring to, missed wide open lay ups, threw the ball away and was not performing like they normally would. Nick Powell was only senior who had a great game. Id like to hear what lineup he should have had out there? That coaching staff doesn’t need your “memos”. They won 20+ games this year. They lost one that counted. Great season by the Vikings.

  4. Joe- GET OVER IT! Smith was just the better team tonight. There were only two seniors that came through tonight much like the other 22 games NW won.

  5. Smith had to fight very hard for this win. Someone really needs to look very hard at the REF’S in this area. There were alot of calls that had people shaking there heads tonight. These are kids that work hard. THESE ARE KIDS PLAYING A GAME !!!!!

  6. I knew NW was the higher seeded team which is why Smith had to go there to play them, but I just looked at NW record…I didn’t realize they had such a good record and Smith was at .500…I’m even more impressed with my Eagles…they never played like the couldn’t win. We are going to need our bigs to rebound though…at 6’7 an 6’8, we should win most rebounding battles. JJ Watson was a warrior as usual, but the game ball tonight must go to #2, Ramon Pratt. His quick first step allowed him to get to the basket. He seemed more aggressive tonight and the balls were falling! Great job overall. Now I see you guys gotta go to Charlotte. I probably won’t make that one, but I hope there will be a feed on here so we can follow it.

    GOOD LUCK!

  7. Thanks Eagles!

6 OT’s for Ragsdale…WOW…that sounds like a whale of a game! nothing for them to be disappointed about there…seems like they ‘left it all out on the court’!
