My name is Caleb Ashley. I’m 17 years old, and a Junior in high school.

In 2011, I started CalebK’s, and raised over $6,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project. In 2013, I raised over $4,000 for the Salvation Army. I am now ready to get CalebK’s going again this spring.

CalebK’s is an effort to use my interest in baseball to raise money for worthwhile charities. I love to play baseball. I really love to pitch. I probably won’t pitch in the big leagues, but it won’t be for a lack of effort.

I am pitching this spring for a high school home school team in Greensboro, North Carolina called the GC-HEAT Panthers. We currently have a schedule planned, running from late February through mid May. I hope to pitch in several games this season.

All money raised by CalebK’s this spring will go to the Salvation Army. I spent a few months in downtown Greensboro a few years ago. Almost every day, I would walk around at lunchtime. I saw a lot of people outside without adequate clothing, and who looked like they needed something to eat. The Salvation Army helps people like the ones I saw, as well as others throughout our community. The Salvation Army seems to me to be a perfect recipient for donations raised by CalebK’s this spring.

The fundraising mechanism for CalebK’s is strikeouts or “K’s”. I am gathering pledges for the Salvation Army for each strikeout that I have this spring. Go to the “How CalebK’s Works” page for more information.
